In 2015, goodr was created to solve a problem: running sunglasses were expensive, ugly, and over-engineered. To solve this, we set out to design a pair of running sunglasses that were affordable, stylish, and all performance. (Hold the B.S., please!). And so, goodr was born. BOOM. Problem solved. You're welcome.

Osprey grew from one person’s desire to use and make more comfortable, longer lasting and functionally sound packs. Over the last forty-something years we’ve stayed true to this ethos as we’ve grown as a company and a brand and our company’s founder, Mike Pfotenhauer, is still the mad hatter leading our designs and innovations.

It started with a group of friends who wanted to make the world better. Their goal: shake up the outdoor industry with a better way of doing business. This is our story, and this is Gear For Good.

Sometimes only having wheels isn't enough, like traveling through the cobal stones of Europe or the sandy roads of the African Sahara. Convertible bags are a great option because you can wheel them when the road allows, but just as easily carry them on your back when it doesn't.

The SmartWool story starts in the heart of the Colorado Rockies where product ideas are born every time we step out our back door.

In 1988 Ellen and Eric Gil opened a 450-square-foot sock boutique called Sockshop and Shoe Company. That modest store has now grown to become an iconic cornerstone of downtown Santa Cruz. After over a decade in business, Ellen, Eric, and Cassandra continue to lead Socksmith Design to new heights. The goal is still the same: to bring the best creative novelty designs to sock lovers everywhere, always with excellent customer service and uncompromising quality.

Finding the right hat is no small thing. Which is why a lot of people simply say, “I'm not a hat person.” To them we respond: “You just haven't found the right hat.”
Whether you have short hair or long, a big head or a tiny one, and even if you don't think you're a ‘hat person,’ we're pretty sure we make a hat that you will love.

We’ll keep water icy cold on a hot sunny beach and serve up a hot coffee on the chairlift ride. We’ll sit patiently by your camp chair with frosty cold beer while you gather wood for the fire. We’re not just along for the ride. We’re along to help make the ride awesome.

We cut the bulk and used titanium everywhere possible to ensure they not only fit more securely but sound better too. Kavu, short for “Klear Above, Visibility Unlimited”, makes clothing and accessories for both men and women. From their signature rope sling bags to belts to button-up shirts- Kavu does it all. Built on the notion that fun should be had at all times, Kavu’s colorful prints and patterns capture the heart of the brand. Kavu is also dedicated to sustainability and having a positive impact on their community and environment.

In 2015, our founder Kelli Jones hopped a barbed-wire fence while she was hunting and ripped her brand-new $400 Patagonia Fitz Roy down parka. The only thing she could find to repair it was a piece of duct tape, but didn’t like the way it looked. Nylon gear rips all the time, and she had a lot of tears in her clothes, so she sourced materials online to cut into heart and star patches. In the tram line at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, people kept asking about them. In August 2016, NoSo Patches successfully launched on Indiegogo. Currently NoSo Patches are carried in over 1,000 specialty stores in over 10 countries, and we’ve received millions of orders from around the world.

It All Started With a Road Trip. When three friends, Zack Helminiak, Chace Petersen and Hunter Robinson traveled cross country in a packed to the brim ‘98 Subaru Outback, it got them thinking: if they had less gear, they’d have more room for adventure. What began as a goal to create high-quality, versatile products, quickly turned into a way of life with one simple but radical idea : to own less and do more.
